When my sister Mary Elizabeth and I began to pray together God moved in a mighty way in our lives. We woke up daily to pray at 6:00 am. What a blessing it was and continues to be! He then told me to feed the hungry and confirmed the message with my sister. It took us two and a half years to fully surrender to his directions. But now that we have surrendered, we are fully committed to feeding the hungry because God has instructed us to do so.
The instructions were: “Feed my people like you would feed me.” We would be honored to feed our Lord, the Lord of Lords. We would be honored to feed our King, the King of kings. Therefore, we’re honored to feed the hungry in His name and can’t help but feed them royally.
It will soon be four years that we have been ministering to the hungry, both homeless and shut-in. We have done it from the small kitchen of our two bedroom condo. It is always a fresh home cooked meal from natural fresh ingredients. We are now looking for a commercial kitchen that we can use six days a week from Monday to Saturday. We’re praying for such a blessing before December 31st, 2014. It will include a commercial kitchen, pantry, dining room, computer room, clothing closet, laundry room, showers, and a chapel/conference room. These facilities will allow His Caring Hands to reach out and bless those facing the difficult experience of homelessness.
